Jeffrey Herf
 
 Jeffrey Herf is Distinguished University Professor in the Department of History at the University of Maryland, College Park, where, since 2000, he has taught modern European history with a focus on German history in the twentieth century. His most recent books are Undeclared Wars with Israel: East Germany and the West German Radical Left, 1967–1989 (2016) and Nazi Propaganda for the Arab World (2009). In 2017, with Anthony McElligott, Prof. Herf co-edited Antisemitism Before and Since the Holocaust: Altered Contexts and Recent Perspectives. His essays on contemporary history and politics have appeared in The American Interest, The New Republic, The Washington Post, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Die Welt, and Die Zeit. Prof. Herf’s “Israel’s Moment: The United States and Europe between World War II and the Cold War” is forthcoming (2021).
