Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., president of the University of Notre Dame, has extended his sympathies to the family and friends of Saint Mary’s College student Ziqi Zhang, who died Thursday night (Oct. 18) in a bicycle-automobile accident near the entrance to the College.

“Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Ziqi Zhang and to the entire Saint Mary’s community,” Father Jenkins said. “Ziqi also was well-known here at Notre Dame, where she was enrolled in the College of Engineering and involved in various clubs and activities.
