The award recipients, Michelle Clayborne from Columbus, Ohio, and Frank Duerson from Indianapolis, were honored earlier this month at a reception on campus. Established in 1993 to honor the late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, the scholarships provide financial assistance to students who are African-Americans and active in the Notre Dame community. Two scholarships are awarded each year ? one to a male student and one to a female. p.
