Named in honor of the late Dennis K. Moore, the associate vice president for public affairs and communication who died in December, the award is given to a senior who exemplifies the qualities for which Denny Moore was known, including personal integrity and character, commitment to Notre Dame, and writing excellence.p. Soukup, who majored in political science with a concentration in journalism, served as the 2003-04 editor in chief for The Observer, the University’s daily student newspaper. He previously worked on the paper as assistant managing editor and associate sports editor.p.
