Admission is $18 for the general public, $16 for faculty, staff and senior citizens, and $12 for students. Tickets are available in advance at the University’s DeBartolo Performing Arts Center ticket office, or by calling 574-631-2800 or visiting http://performingarts.nd.edu on the Web. Macbethintroduces the audience to a world of darkness and dreams, witches and ghosts, murder and revenge. The plot follows the horrific chain of events begun when Macbeth, a victorious Scottish general in the service of Duncan, King of Scotland, murders the ruler to hasten his own rise to the throne. All roles will be played by five veterans of classical theater – Will Ashcroft, Brigid Zengeni, Chris Donnelly, Daniel Winter and Charlotte Allam. Actors From The London Stage has called Notre Dame its American home since 2000, when it relocated from the University of North Carolina.Its members hail from such prestigious theater companies as the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal National Theatre of Great Britain and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, among others.
