Unique photographs of classical, modern and Broadway dancers will be on exhibit in the Fritz and Milly Kaeser Mestrovic Studio Gallery of the University of Notre Dame’s Snite Museum of Art April 22 – July 15 The exhibition, entitled “The Power and Passion of Dance: The Carol Halsted Dance Photography Collection,” consists of forty-nine black and white photographs collected by Carol Halsted, chairperson of the department of music, theater, and dance at Oakland University in Rochester, Mich. It will open with a public reception April 22 (Sunday) at 2 p.m. The reception, which is free and open to the public, will include a lecture by Halsted and a performance by students of the Saint Mary’s College program in dance.p.
