The lecture is free and open to the public. Sponsored by Notre Dames Program in American Democracy, the presentation is part of the Annenberg Lecture Series, which features scholars and public features who explore the challenges and opportunities facing American democracy in the 21 st century. Larry Bartels, founding director ofPrincetonUniversitys Center for the Study of Democratic Politics, will be the featured speaker. He is a professor of politics and public affairs and holds the Donald E. Stokes Chair in Public and International Affairs. Established in 2001, Notre Dames Program in American Democracy seeks to further the understanding of democratic politics and policy making through research, teaching and other activities that explore and assess the quality of American democracy.
