Titled “Wake Up the Echo: A Voice of Change Then and Now,” the meeting will be led by Carolyn Nordstrom, associate professor of anthropology, and J. Roberto Gutierrez, vice president for public affairs and communication, as well as student members of a campus committee that plans Martin Luther King Day events. Topics for discussion will include economic and environmental justice, gender equity, affirmative action, faith and service learning.p. To facilitate the town hall meeting, similar topics will be discussed by selected student leaders and members of the King Day committee Jan. 14 (Wednesday) in the Main Building. The committee also has prepared a special Eucharistic celebration for distribution to all campus residence halls.p. King Day events are sponsored by Campus Ministry, Multicultural Student Programs and Services, and the Center for Social Concerns.
