The following is a statement from Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., president of the University of Notre Dame, on the death this past weekend of former Indiana Gov. Otis Bowen:

“Indiana has lost a beloved leader with the passing of Gov. Bowen. His contributions to our nation and state were many and valued, and he was, as well, a great friend of Notre Dame.
