Sponsored by the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, the conference will feature two keynote addresses by leading authorities in the field. Veena Das, the Krieger-Eisenhower Professor of Anthropology at Johns Hopkins University, will deliver a lecture titled “Forms, Life and Killable Bodies” at 2:15 p.m. Friday. Peter van der Veer, professor of comparative religion and director of the Research Center on Religion and Society at the University of Amsterdam, will speak at 7:30 p.m. Friday on ?Tradition and Violence in South Asia."p.
