The Notre Dame Concert Bands will perform at 5 p.m. Feb. 17 in the Leighton Concert Hall of the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center.The diverse program will feature both traditional and contemporary selections, including pieces dedicated to the Tuskegee Airmen and in memory of Rosa Parks. Bill Nicks, drummer and adjunct faculty member, will join the Concert Bands for a medley of Motown songs Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. in Washington Hall.Nicks has previously performed with Patti LaBelle and the original Temptations.The Notre Dame Jazz Bands also will perform, paying tribute to Ray Charles and other significant black composers and musicians.
