The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 9 p.m. at the Palais Royale Ballroom, 105 W. Colfax Ave., South Bend. Authentic Brazilian music and dance will be provided by the popular group Chicago Samba. The Kellogg Institute is Notre Dame’s center for comparative social science research about Brazil and other countries and regions. Other campus sponsors of Carnaval are the Office of International Study Programs, International Student Services and Activities, the Brazil Club and La Alianza. p.
