Tim Roemer will talk about his experiences as a member of the 9-11 Commission at 7 p.m. Oct. 7 (Thursday) in the Jordan Auditorium of the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame. The event is free and open to the public.p. Titled “The 9-11 Commission: The Transformation of our Intelligence Community,” the presentation is sponsored by the Notre Dame Law School and the Reilly Center for Science, Technology and Values.p. Roemer, who earned masters and doctoral degrees from Notre Dame, is president of the Center for National Policy and a distinguished scholar at George Mason University’s Mercatus Center, a nonprofit research and educational institution dedicated to improving public policy outcomes. From 1991 to 2003, he represented the 3rd District of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives. Roemer was appointed in 2002 to the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (the 9-11 Commission), which issued its final report in July on the terrorist attacks of Sept.11, 2001.
