He was struck by a tree as it was felled and died at the scene, despite efforts by first responders to resuscitate him. The identity of the victim, who was employed by an area excavating company contracted by the University, is being withheld pending family notification. Work on the site has been suspended. “We extend our deepest condolences to his family, and to all those involved in this morning’s terrible accident," Rev. John I.
