In 1972 Mary Lynn Broe, Varda Schwartzman Fink, J. Danelle Snyder, and Kathleen Maas Weigert founded a Woman's Caucus at the University of Notre Dame in order to examine attitudes toward women, to expose and eliminate inequities at Notre Dame, and to encourage mutual confidence and communication among women.
